Brief Introduction to Professor Richard Peralta Professor Richard Peralta was born on May 9, 1935 in California. He began his practice in Kajukembo in the year 1958-59 at the school of Maestro Aleju Reyes (Senior) in Suisun (California). Working for air forces for 20 years, he was stationed in Okinawa, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines, etc. Taking advantage in these occasions to know other Martial Arts, without ever abandoning the practice with his Master. One of his most outstanding students, Master Edward C. Sheppard, would move to the Air Base of Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid) in 1973, introducing the Kajukembo system in Spain. Currently Professor Peralta teaches in Fort Worth (Texas) and is founding president of the K. S. D. S. (Kajukembo Self Defense Systems).
